With 60 years of growing experience, we are one of Northern Ohio's leading Nurseries and Landscape Design-Build companies. From designing and installing landscapes to assisting the do-it-yourselfers, we do it all.

In 1950, Harold and Jeanne Barnes established a small rose growing business in Huron Township and called it Barnes Roses. During 1962 was the peak of the rose growing days at Barnes Roses. Harold, Jeanne and son, Bob, planted 150,000 rose bushes that year. The average price of a rose bush was $3.50. As the United States transportation routes improved, it became increasingly difficult to compete with California rose growers. In 1966, the family determined to quit growing roses and turn the rose fields to shade and ornamental trees. Barnes Nursery was born.
